Chiptech is proud to be part of the newly established National Sector Support Group, bringing together leaders from across the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) sector to strengthen collaboration, share expertise and help shape the future of technology-enabled support across the UK.
The group has been formed to provide strategic leadership for the sector as demand for technology-enabled care continues to grow and develop. Its work will focus on developing the guidance, resources and frameworks needed to support organisations in delivering safe, effective and sustainable TEC services, while helping the sector respond to changing technologies and its capabilities.
A number of important milestones are already planned: in September 2026, the group will publish a briefing paper to inform the Casey Commission, highlighting the role TEC can play in supporting future health and social care services. This will be followed by the publication of the sector’s first Commissioning Guide in March 2027, providing practical guidance to commissioners and service providers to support the effective planning and delivery of TEC services.
The group’s ambition is to help build the infrastructure, guidance
and shared expertise needed to support the safe and sustainable growth of TEC across the UK by bringing together organisations from across the sector. It aims to create a stronger, more connected ecosystem that benefits providers, commissioners and, most importantly, the people who rely on these services every day.
For Chiptech, being part of the National Sector Support Group reflects our long-standing commitment to innovation, collaboration and improving outcomes through technology. As a leading developer of digital telecare solutions, we’re pleased to contribute our experience and insight to initiatives that will help shape the future of the sector, alongside our industry colleagues from Alcove, The Access Group, Careium, Legrand, Taking Care and Tunstall.
Technology Enabled Care has a vital role to play in supporting people to live independently, safely and with greater confidence. We’re delighted to be working alongside colleagues from across the industry to help develop the standards, resources and strategic direction that will enable TEC to continue delivering life-changing outcomes for individuals, families and care providers across the UK.
