What is VoLTE?

VoLTE (Voice over Long-Term Evolution) is a technology that enables voice calls to be transmitted over 4G LTE networks rather than traditional 2G or 3G networks. While LTE is commonly associated with faster data speeds, VoLTE leverages this same network to deliver high-quality voice communication along with several other benefits for the telecare industry.
