We are thrilled to welcome our new Sales Consultant, Kieran McCausland, into the Chiptech Community. Kieran brings a wealth of experience in the Telecare and Technology Enabled Care (TECs) industry, and we couldn’t be happier to have him on board as a part of our growing sales team.
Kieran’s journey in the TECs industry began in 1985 after he left the Royal Air Force. His commitment to service and helping others led him to North Herts District Council, where he started as a Careline Operator. This early experience laid the foundation for his deep understanding of the industry and its importance in enhancing the lives of individuals in need.
After three dedicated years at the council, Kieran set his sights on new challenges. He embarked on a career as a field service engineer, where he honed his technical skills and worked on various products, including the control centre platforms. His hands-on experience in the field added a valuable layer to his TECs expertise.
However, Kieran’s journey took an intriguing turn when he decided to take a career sabbatical to study Cognitive Science at the University of Hertfordshire. This venture into the world of cognitive science broadened his horizons and deepened his understanding of human behaviour and technology.
Eager to return to the TECs industry, Kieran embraced various roles, including service, operations management, and sales. His multifaceted experience made him a true asset to the industry, and he quickly became known for his dedication and expertise.
Kieran had been keeping a watchful eye on Chiptech’s impressive growth since our entry into the UK TECs market in 2019 and was drawn to the core values of integrity, transparency, and teamwork, which perfectly aligned with his own personal ethos. When the opportunity arose for him to join the Chiptech Community, he eagerly accepted, knowing we were the perfect fit for him.
Outside of his professional life, Kieran has a passion for photography and technology, which perfectly complements his role at Chiptech. He’s also a devoted dog parent to two adorable but energetic Border Collies.
Kieran’s journey and expertise make him a valuable addition to the Chiptech team. We look forward to the innovative ideas and solutions he will bring to our organisation as we continue our mission to improve the lives of individuals.
